Happy to be an Eagle
Written by Michael Vick, Saturday November 14 2009
A lot of people want to know how I feel about being back in the NFL and I have to say I really am blessed and fortunate to have this opportunity. Not only did I get a second chance but I couldn’t have asked to be part of a better organization and team. To play for an owner like Mr. Lurie who cares about my success not only as a player but as a person has been great. Coach Reid has been a huge help to me and is an offensive genius. He has help make the Eagles a force in the NFC since I’ve been in the league. Playing behind Donovan has been a learning experience and has really helped me develop as a quarterback.
It’s funny thinking back when I played for the Falcons we were one game away from the Super Bowl and lost to the Eagles. Who knew my career would lead me back here?
It really feels great to be a part of a winning team and I try to play my role to do whatever the team needs to help us win. In football and in team sports you’re only one play away from being “the guy” so you have to prepare like that. But hands down this is Donovan’s team and I’m just happy to play my role.
I would personally like to thank the City of Philadelphia and our fans for embracing me. I hope to be a piece of the puzzle to help bring a championship back to this great city!
I’ll continue to blog and update you guys on what’s going on in my world and I hope you continue to check in and see what’s going on in My Zone…The Michael Vick Zone.

Mr. Vick, congratulations. I am glad to see you showing appreciation for the Eagles organization--they deserve it from you. But, why are they paying you so much money to do so little? How did you guys possibly lose to Oakland? did you guys lose to TB too? Are the Cowboys paying you guys to be that bad? Still, Kudos to you for putting yourself out here in the public sector. Where is Donovan? With all his money, surely he can face some music here too. can you guys please keep the Cowboys from winning the division?

I really cannot wait to see you play more than one play or a series. I understand this is 5's team and Kolb's team. It is not getting done. I want God to bless you with a team that will use your God given talents. No one can take those away but God always remember that and never forget, God wants to bless you. Prayers and love from my family.

Oh yeah. Can you also suggest lining 1st O up against 1st D in practice and going full out on 3rd/4th and 1 until the O can gain a yard?! Geez!

Seriously! Can we get Andy and the guys to work on better clock management and the use of timeouts. Two weeks in a row of that in the NFL is absolutely ridiculous!

Maybe you can help Andy Reid with some clock management when you're not in the game. You're probably the only one on the team that can stand up to him and not have to worry about losing playing time.

I sincerely hope that we get to see you on the field soon. It is safe to say that the entire football world is itching to see Number 7 under center. You are an electrifying player, and I would love to see your cannon again coupled with great agility like we saw at VaTech and Atlanta. Hopefully with this O line you wouldn't be forced to scramble every down because of protection breaking down. All the best. Arabrev
