<intro>
The Green Bay Packers had been flirting with disaster in every game this season, even in the four games that they have won this season.

Prior to Sundays game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, two devastating loses to former Packer quarterback Brett Favre and the divisional rival Vikings were bad enough, but now they have lost a game to the previously winless Bucs.

After a stellar preseason in which numerous so called NFL experts picked the Packers as an elite team to win it all this season, they have now dropped to the ranks of an average NFL team with blaring weaknesses on both sides of the ball.

The Packers have had inklings that they possessed an offense that was extremely dangerous, however, at other times they have looked absolutely non-existent, especially the front line which have given up sacks as if they were paid bonuses to do so.

The Packers have had their problems on special teams as well. Their weaknesses on special teams first reared their ugly head on punt coverage but now they have started to rear their ugly heads on kickoffs too.

Defensively, The Pack also has its flashes of brilliance, until an opposing team drives its way into the red zone where they have showed an inability to keep teams from scoring touchdowns.

On Sunday, every one of those problems came together and opened up another issue for the Packers as well, turnovers on offense. All of these factors played a huge aspect in a humbling loss to the 0-7 Buccaneers.

After their dominant pre-season, the Packers had Super Bowl aspirations this season, and there were many who agreed with that thought. However, with half the season in the books and the Packers at 4-4 after blowing an 11-point fourth quarter lead and losing 38-28 to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken the wind out of their sails.

From week to week, the Packers are second guessing themselves and wondering why they seem to have the same problems each week, and wondering what they could of done differently. At this point, the players and coaches are tired of hearing it.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked six times in the game and all of them came in the second half by a Bucs defense that started the game with only 11 sacks all season. The Packers have given up a league-leading 37 sacks so far this season. In addition, on the defensive side of the ball, each time the Buccaneers were in the red-zone, they scored.

The win for the Buccaneers ended an 11-game losing streak, with their last win almost a year ago on November 30 against the Saints. Even funnier was the fact that the Bucs were wearing their ugly fallback orange creamsicle uniforms. Maybe they should switch back to those permanently.

With just under 13 minutes left in the game, the Packers looked as if they were on there way to their 5th win of the season after quarterback Aaron Rodgers scrambled for a 12-yard touchdown to go up by 11 and make the score 28-17. Rodgers completed 17 of 35 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns, but also had a season-high three interceptions.

However, the Bucs did not take long to get back into the game when kick returner Clifton Smith tore through the Packers special team unit with an 83-yard runback to the Green Bay 17 on the ensuing kickoff. Just three plays later, Buccaneers rookie quarterback Josh Freeman, who was making his first NFL start, threw a touchdown pass to tight end Kellen Winslow in the back of the end zone. After the Bucs missed its two-point conversion try, they were only down by five.

That turned the momentum of the game right back over to the Bucs, and they never looked back.

The Packers' offense did nothing on their next possession, and Freeman led the Buccaneers 72 yards in eight plays and put them in front for the first time in the game when he threw a 7-yard pass to receiver Sammie Stroughter on forth down. Once again, the Bucs went for two and Freeman found receiver Michael Clayton open in the back of the end zone giving the Buccaneers a 31-28 lead they would never relinquish.

The Packers next two series featured three sacks, a holding penalty, and the game clinching interception, which was returned for a touchdown. It was Rodgers third interception of the game, and it tipped off of receiver Donald Driver's hands and was snatched out of the air by Buccaneers free safety Tanard Jackson, who juked his way through the Packers offense for a 35-yard touchdown return.

It has to be extremely disappointing considering that the Packers held advantages in total yards, 404 to 279, and time of possession, 35:17 to 24:43, but they did not capitalize on opportunities when they had a chance. Right now the Packers are playing with a lot of inconsistency, and mistakes at the wrong time are killing them.

The Packers started out the game with a bang as Rodgers hit receiver James Jones for a 74-yard touchdown on their first possession of the game and he also led the team on two long touchdown drives. However, the Packers never opened up their first-half lead by more then a touchdown.

It was the Packers mistakes that led to the Buccaneers scores. After Rodgers' first interception of the game, Bucs rookie quarterback Josh Freeman threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to running back Derrick Ward. The Bucs second touchdown came off a blocked punt that cornerback Ronde Barber returned 31 yards for a score, and the games decisive factor was an interception return for a touchdown by safety Tanard Jackson.

The Buccaneers gained the momentum in the fourth quarter and held on for their first win. The Packers had numerous opportunities to put the Bucs away early in the game and make it a laugher, but they never did, and they paid for it in the end.
</intro>
